Lost In Space The Time Tunnel Land of the Giants

In the 1970's, three of the four Science-Fiction series Irwin Allen produced had aired on various PBS Stations. This has also been stated numerous times in numerous Starlog interviews by the Writers and Directors involved with these programs. For "Giants" and "Tunnel", it was the first time these production people had seen the episodes since their original Network broadcast a decade before. "Lost in Space" was still successful in Syndication, so its broadcast on PBS affiliates was rare.

Irwin's fourth Science-Fiction Series, "Voyage to the bottom of the Sea", no doubt skipped PBS due to the large number of episodes it produced (making it viable longer in Syndication than others). It had a number of episodes that wasn't surpassed by another American Science-Fiction Series until nearly four decades later when Star Trek: The Next Generation passed half way through their fifth season, in the 1992-1993 television season.
