Following the idea of what real life would be like in the future on a real space station, what I know about "Space Island One" is this: The first, I heard it was boring. I read the average episode consists of two sets and three actors talking about Hydroponics for an hour. The second, it's british (see previous sentence about it being boring). The third, it lasted 27 episodes (see previous sentence about it being british). And the fourth, it's available to, and has aired on PBS, including Iowa Public Television. In Canada it airs on "Space: The Imagination Station", which is the Canadian equivelant of the Sci-Fi Channel.
Someone once described the show as "This was a series which could go anywhere, do anything, have almost any story it wanted, but had chosen not to."
