The Thrill of Illinois: Beautiful
Okay, so "Beautiful" isn't the name of a town, it was the name of a movie. Beautiful was the directorial debut of Sally Field. Released in 2000, the movie follows a young Illinois woman named Mona as she struggles to work her way up through the Miss America pageant despite the lack of support of her parents. Minnie Driver plays Mona, the Miss Illinois, which is kinda silly considering Minnie Driver was born in England.
The movie also starred little Hallie Kate Eisenberg, the girl from the "Pepsi" commercials, as well as Bridgette Wilson as Miss Texas.
