Killed in the line of duty. All we know about their deaths was this five second scene from "The Transformers: The Movie". During the Decepticon assault on Autobot City, Arcee dragged the body of Windcharger out of the way and laid him down. She pauses to look, and we see what she sees; she had laid him next to the body of Wheeljack. That's all we know.
